The second stop of Season 11 of the EPT is well underway as the EPT London Main Event finished Day 2 on Tuesday. Of the 675 players that entered the £4250 buy in event only 135 remain, 95 of whom will make the money.

The hopes for the first three time EPT champion were dashed when Victoria Coren Mitchell exited the tournament. However the prospects for the second two time EPT champion remain alive as former champions Kevin MacPhee, Benny Spindler, Nicolas Chouity and Liv Boeree remain in contention.

Players began to exit the tournament area almost as soon as cards were in the air, with Viktor Blom, Ole Schemion and Andrew Chen among the first to leave. Big One for One Drop winner Daniel Colman, Jason Mercier, Leo Margets, Ike Haxton, and Jennifer Shahade also were eliminated as the day progressed. Last year at EPT London Leo McClean parlayed an £82 qualifier into a Main Event final table appearance. He is still alive and hoping to make it two-in-a-row.

Other notable players that played through to Day 3 include Jake Cody, Marc-Andre Ladouceur, Fatima Moreira de Melo, Bertrand Grospellier, Eugene Katchalov, Kevin Killeen and Johnny Lodden. Both Lodden and Killeen commented on how fortunate they were to make Day 3.

The player with the most chips on Day 3 will be Raffaele Sorrentino who leads with 491,400. Day 3 starts at noon on Wednesday at noon with the money bubble imminent.
