Could life have got any better for Andy Murray after he became the first British man in seventy seven years to claim the Men’s Singles Title at Wimbledon? It certainly could as his uncle Niall Erskine went about having a custom built poker table as a gift for his excellent performance.
The table was made by Mike McCarron who is a recreational poker player that got tired of the quality of many of the tables that are made for home use. Being a craftsman he went about making one for himself and was suddenly inundated with requests to build more for friends and family after posting some pictures of it up on his Facebook.
Before long he had set up his own business McPoker Custom Poker Tables and started to make some waves north of the border. These waves eventually found their way to Niall Erskine who requested a table to be built for his nephew Andy Murray, not too long after he had won Wimbledon.
He was asked that it be customised with a tennis theme and to include places that meant a lot to Murray as names for each of the six seats. Those names included where he is from in Dunblane, Oxshott where he lives now and of course the biggest stops on the tennis tour in Miami, Melbourne, Barcelona, Roland Garros, Flushing Meadows and finally Wimbledon. To finish off the table, the name of Andy Murray is emblazoned in the middle.
He was quick to take to twitter to show off the end product and even received a tweet from Erskine to say thank you. Take a look at the end product:

Andy Murray has yet to use the table yet as he will not be back home for another month or so but is said to be delighted with it after being shown pictures. We do not blame him either, the table looks of the very best quality and something that we can all imagine being sat around enjoying a few hands.
