Blom Back On Track – $570k In The Bag

shutterstock_39339025Viktor “Isildur1” Blom made a massive start to 2013 in January when he secured almost $5 million in profit at the high stakes tables over the first couple of weeks, only to then go and lose more than half of it in true Blom style the next few weeks after.

Since then he has been up and down and not really winning and not really losing, yet keeping his place at the top of the profit list for 2013 so far. He has also been threatening to go on another of his upswings, which hadn’t quite materialised until yesterday.

He banked $570.2k after a very long session that included playing at the Pot Limit Omaha tables, the 2-7 Triple Draw tables and the Fixed Limit Omaha tables. He was a success at all three, though his biggest success was on the Triple Draw.

His main victim on the Triple Draw tables was “Rui Cao” after securing a nice big six figure sum; though he went on to lose $100k of that to “Polarising”. Blom then went and won all of that back by beating Patrik “FinddaGrind” Antonius across that same table and a Pot Limit Omaha table. Another victim was “KPR” over at the Fixed Limit Omaha Hi/Lo tables for another good six figure sum.

As this periods biggest winner it really is no surprise that he was involved in some of the larger pots we saw, with the biggest not actually going his way. He lost a pot of $246.2k after thinking it was his when flopping a set that went on and improved to be a full house against “patpatpanda”, except his opponent turned over quads.

“patpatpanda” also won another large pot of $221.2k when he managed to avoid all of the outs that “Sauce1234” had to win both runs of the turn and river. The largest pot that “Isildur1” actually won was a $184k one that saw him hit the nut straight on the river against Patrik “FinddaGrind” Antonius.

The second biggest winner of this period was “cottonseed1” as he took home $343.1k playing on the Fixed Limit Omaha Hi/Lo tables, with most of those winnings coming from “Erik1223”.

Phil “Polarizing” Ivey finished up in third place with a decent $116.2k won, whilst not too far behind him was Phil “OMGClayAiken” Galfond with $102k banked from a short session at the 2-7 Triple Draw tables.

The Biggest Profits!

Isildur1 – ($570.2k)

cottonseed1 – ($343.1k)

patpatpanda – ($315.5k)

Polarizing – ($116.2)

OMGClayAiken – ($102k)
