Every poker player knows that the very best time to take a well earned break from the game comes right after the World Series of Poker. The biggest tournament series has finished and there is now a bit of a lull before the other major poker tours in the World Poker Tour and European Poker Tour get back up and running.
For the PokerStars Team Pro Liv Boeree, it is even better as her birthday coincides with this holiday period. She has decided to take her holiday in California at the Death Valley National Park and has kept her fans and peers fully updated on her activities through the use of Twitter along the way.
She headed up to Telescope Peak, which is actually the highest point across the whole of the Panamint Range and also took time out to take a swim in the Darwen Falls and surf a few sand dunes along the way. It certainly does look glorious from the pictures that she has posted, so much so that we suggest that anyone that has not had a holiday in some time, should seriously consider looking away to save their sanity.
Off to climb Telescope Peak for my birthday. Couldn’t get permits to do Mt Whitney so this is the next best thing!!

Boeree has always been an active woman that loves nothing more than hiking, trekking and sporting activities, so this holiday will certainly fit into that category. Hopefully, this break will allow her to prepare for the upcoming poker tours and give her a renewed focus on winning some more major events.
