EPT Berlin High Roller – Benger Claims Title
The European Poker Tour Berlin is now done and dusted after yesterday saw the completion of both the Main Event and this High Roller event. The successful German stop on the tour once again proved to be hugely popular amongst players and fans alike with huge fields taking part in the many events hosted.
This particular event saw Griffin Benger take home the title and €429,000 first place prize after he managed to overcome a strong final table and defeat Aaron Lim heads up.
Many of you may not know much about Griffin Benger, especially considering he hardly has a live tournament history. In fact before this win he had only ever achieved career earnings of $263,139 at the felt.
However, those of you that follow high stakes poker online will certainly have heard of his screen name “Flush_Entity”. Just from online tournaments alone he has amassed career earnings of more than $4 million and that is without his profits as a cash player. He was in fact regarded as the number one online tournament player a little while back.
In this event he managed to outclass a strong final table that included some poker heavyweights in Max Lykov and Scott Seiver.
He eventually beat Aaron Lim when heads up after going into the session with a clear chip advantage. Despite his opponent managing to double up through him once, it didn’t take too long for the match up to finish.
What’s more is that he did all of this on his birthday!
Couldn’t be happier to win the #EPTBerlinHighroller! Thanks so much for the support guys it truly is a dream come true! #teamivey #teampipe
