EPT High Roller Event Enters Day 2 with 84 Remaining

You never expect a table draw in a high roller event to be easy and Day 2 of the EPT Prague High Roller event will be no exception with 84 players remaining, including Heads-Up Specialists, High Roller Veterans, and EPT, WSOP and WPT champions.

The 3 day €10,000 re-entry event drew 135 runners and 34 re-entries by the time play ended after 10 one hour levels. Registration remains open until play begins on Day 2, when the final numbers and prize pool will be available.

PokerStars Pro Vanessa Selbst was once again playing her A game and finished in the top ten.

Elky Grospellier is still in the hunt but is very short stacked with 70,000 chips.

The first victim of the deck was Doron Davidovitz in level one running pocket Kings into pocket Aces. He didn’t fare much better on his second bullet and was eliminated later in the day. Having his Kings cracked by pocket Jacks crippled Mike McDonald, but McDonald fared better on his reentry and finished the day with 89,700.

Poker pro Theo Jorgensen was among those that busted out of the event after a re-entry.

Dan Shak, Vanessa Selbst, Isaac Haxton and Eugene Katchalov are all in good shape entering Day 2.

Although short on chips, Steve O’Drywer, Paul Volpe, Oliver Busquet, Marc Etienne McLaughlin and Elky Grosspellier are still a threat.

The players will be looking to unseat current chip leader Georgios Karakousis who ended the day with a comfortable chip lead and 407,200 chips. The EPT10 London Main Event runner up is almost 100,000 chips ahead of second place finisher Dmitri Yurasov. Day 2 begins on Tuesday concurrently with Day 5 of the EPT Main Event.
