EPT London Main Event Day 3 – Kozlov Leads 45 (vids)

EPT London

Day 3 at the ever popular European Poker Tour London Main Event again witnessed a deluge of eliminations as the 106 players that had so far survived in the event were chopped in half to leave just 45 of them heading into Day 4.

Along the way on Day 3 we saw the bubble fast approach, with only the top 87 finishers in this event guaranteeing themselves some form of payout. This meant that 19 of the players eliminated on Day 3 would be going home with nothing.

One player that assured himself of a payout and finished in pole position going into Day 4 was Martin Kozlov, as he built up a stack of 1,351,000 throughout the day. He heads a top ten that includes former chip leader Tudor Purice, Robin Yitalo and Jeff Rossiter.

Others that are safely into the money and Day 4 include Shannon Shorr, Timothy Adams, Sam Greenwood and Thomas Muhlocker, with each of them now eyeing a place on that prestigious final table.

The 19 players that could not make it through the bubble on Day 3 included the unfortunate Davidi Kitai, Kyle Julius, Paul Volpe and Jackie Glazer, though the other players would have been glad it wasn’t them.

Those that managed to survive the bubble but not the day would have been happy enough to have made some kind of return on their events, with Gaelle Baumann, Theo Jorgensen, Steve Silverman and Mike Watson being the most notable of them all.

Day 4 starts up at the same time of midday GMT today and will see the field reduced down further to just two tables of players. Catch us tomorrow for our latest report on all of the shenanigans.
