Full Tilt Poker UKIPT Galway – Day 10 Roundup (vid)

horse races

With the proceedings now moving along nicely at the Full Tilt Poker UK & Ireland Poker Tour Galway Festival, one of the more anticipated events sprung into action yesterday. The Irish Poker Championship brought in some very big names and some even bigger personalities.

Day 1 saw 52 players take part in total but only 12 of them finished with some chips at the table and a chance of taking down the title today. Amongst the players that did start the day were Jake Cody, Steve O’Dwyer, Max Silver, Pedraig Parkinson and Thomas Hall and in general most of them did well.

In fact O’Dwyer is currently leading the final twelve with 265,400 with Silver right behind him on 216,500. Jake Cody is the last of the big names that made it through into Day 2, though he has his work cut out being in 12th place.

What has really made the Galway Festival stand out so far is that it isn’t just about the poker and is more about having a good time. From pool competitions to soccer matches and Pac-Man to a day at the races for the new Full Tilt ambassadors yesterday, there has always been something that offers people something different than just your routine poker stop.
