The Full Tilt Online Poker Series is just days away

It may sound like a cliché but in the world of online gaming, the card-playing action really never stops with Full Tilt’s premiere event, the Full Tilt Online Poker Series set to begin this weekend.

Now in its 23rd incarnation, the flagship poker series is scheduled to begin on Sunday August 4th, with a grand total of 39 events set to take place over the two-week event, which will finish on Sunday August 18th.

This Full Tilt Poker fiesta comes just days after the conclusion of the highly popular Micro Millions online poker tournament.

Set up by Full Tilt’s sister company PokerStars, the eleven day card-playing extravaganza, which was designed for players of all backgrounds, attracted an impressive 1.3 million competitors – a record for the event.

This massive influx of poker players resulted in a sharp increase in the total guaranteed prize fund, which rose from $5 million to an impressive $8.276 million.

Full Tilt will be hoping to enjoy similar success with a glut of tables on offer to any visitors logging in.

Things get underway with a $215 re-entry no-limit Hold’em event which will offer a guaranteed prize of $500,000 for the lucky winner.

In addition to this mouth-watering table, the opening day will also feature a $320 escalator no-limit Hold-em event with a guaranteed $100,000 prize.

Ever eager to attract new players while also enticing regulars, Full Tilt have put together a variety of new tables to whet the appetite.

Chief among these new tournaments will be five-card and six-card Omaha games with buy-ins of $215 and $320 respectively as well as a Courcheval $215 buy-in event.

No headline tournament event would be complete without something for the high rollers and the Full Tilt Online Poker Series does not disappoint in this respect.

First up, there is the $2,100 two-day no-limit Hold’em tournament which will boast two optional re-entries for card-hungry players.

Meanwhile, the real one to watch for big spenders is the $635 no-limit Hold’em Main Event which will not only allow re-entry but also promises a guaranteed prize pool of $1,500,000.

Set to commence at 18:30 BST on Sunday August 18th, all eyes will be on this extra-special event, which could see a new king of online poker crowned.

There really is no sleep for the tournament-player poker star is there?
