Full Tilt UKIPT Galway – O’Dwyer Still Leads IPC

O'Dwyer

Another fun-filled day at the Full Tilt Poker UKIPT Galway Poker Festival was completed yesterday with the main attraction being that of the second day of the Irish Poker Championship. There were twelve players remaining in the event when it had started and just the final table of seven remained by the time it had come to an end.

The day began with Steve O’Dwyer holding the chip lead from the first day with Max Silver sitting in second place behind him. Despite a difference in chip counts come the end of Day 2 that is exactly the order the day finished in as well.

O’Dwyer dominated at the tables the whole day and finished with more than double that of Silver with them holding 528,500 and 253,800 respectively.

The biggest name that was lost from the five eliminations on the second day of the Irish Poker Championship was that of PokerStars Team Pro Jake Cody after he was the first to be eliminated.

If O’Dwyer continues with this imperious form, we find it hard to believe that anybody else at the final table will have a chance. However, as we all know, anything can happen at a poker table so it is not over just quite yet.

The Final Table Chip Counts

Steve O`Dwyer – 528,500

Max Silver – 253,800

Marc MacDonnell – 184,100

Thomas Hall – 177,600

Ian Gascoigne – 83,000

Peter Murphy – 42,000

Trevor Dinneen – 35,100

Day 3 of the event will be starting very soon at the Irish Poker Championship with the remaining five set to play down to a winner. The final table can actually be watched via a live stream right here!
