Genting Poker Series Grand Final Up And Running!

Genting Poker Series Grand Final Up And Running!

December is starting look like it will be jam packed with poker action with so many events getting underway throughout the next month. This is certainly good news for all of us poker lovers, especially seeing as this time of year is a particularly quiet one on the poker scene.

Just today sees the start of another stop of one of the most popular British poker tours the GPS Grand Final tournament starting up, with it bringing a program of four events starting with the £5,000+£200 NLHE High Roller which is underway as we speak.

Next up will be the £1,000 + £80 Genting Poker Big game which will be held on Monday, after that is when the big events kick into action. Thursday and Friday will see both of the flights of Day 1 of the £1,500 + £80 Main Event which will run right through until the Final table is played on Sunday the 9th of December.

Whilst the Main Event is running, the Fox Poker Club will be holding their very own Main Event which will be running alongside the GPS Main Event. The Fox Main Event will be a £400 + £35 affair and is a regular showpiece at this tournament.

Half Of All Registrations Going To Charity In The Big Game

What we like about the GPS is that they are always looking to try and do their bit for charity. The Big Game event that starts on Monday will be handing 50% of the registration fees to the Great Ormond Street Hospital Charity. That means that for every player that enters, £40 will be donated.

The GPS is expecting its usual large amounts of players to come to the London event, with some big name poker players from all over the world predicted to be attending. As well as those there will be a strong local showing of players, with names such as James Akenhead, Karl Mahrenholz and Paul Jackson almost certain to be there.

The Main Event will also be having satellite tournaments which will allow players a cheaper entrance into a seat by virtue of winning one of them.

With the tournament already underway, it is certainly the Main Event that we are looking forward to most, with it being a $500k prize pool guaranteed event. We will also be keeping tracks on everything that happens and will be providing you all with reports on exactly which players are making waves in each of the events, so stay tuned and enjoy the action.
