Gus Hansen Finally Has A Big Day – $1.57 Million Banked

Gus Hansen liveWe think it is fair to say that the Full Tilt “Professional” Gus Hansen has had far from a good time since the re-launch of the site back in November. He is actually the site’s biggest loser since then and nothing has gone right for him, which is until now.

He managed to pull in a huge profit of $1.57 million at the Fixed Limit Holdem Hi/Lo tables to record one of the biggest scores we have seen this year in such a short period.

He started things off with a relatively small $61k profit on the tables against “KPR16” before going off to take another $182k on the 2-7 Triple Draw tables against opponents like Viktor “Isildur1” Blom and “PostFlopAction”.

After a few hours the action as we predicted yesterday really started to pick up with most of the action again coming from the Fixed Limit Omaha Hi/Lo tables. It was here that he bagged another $500k in a session against the likes of “PostFlopAction”, “KPR16”, Phil “OMGClayAiken” Galfond and “SallyWoo”. In fact the only other prominent winner from that session was “cottonseed1” as he banked $200k.

The final splurge of profit for Hansen was the biggest of them yet as he played heads up against “KPR16” and coming out a massive $722k to the good.

We have already mentioned that “cottonseed1” came out a winner from that earlier session, yet he also added another $100k to it to end up as the period’s second largest winner with a total profit of $300.8k.

The only other real big winner was Brian “$tinger 88” Hastings over on the PokerStars $200/$400 Pot Limit Omaha tables, with him recording profits of $142k.

Viktor “Isildur1” Blom was the player that actually finished the day as the biggest loser after dropping a whopping $627.5k. He was followed by Hansen’s victim “KPR16” who lost a total of $344k, after winning some of his losses back later.

This represents a very good day for Hansen who must have been wondering what had happened to his game. He was a massive winner at the former Full Tilt but has struggled immensely since the site was re-launched.

This will hopefully reinvigorate him and his confidence levels so that he will return to his former self and start bringing in profits much like those he did during this period.
