It just goes to show that despite the perceived riches that many of the very best poker players have, they still do their very best to help those that are less fortunate. Both Phil Hellmuth and Vanessa Rousso have been doing a little bit of charity work recently, though not on the same project it has to be said.
First Hellmuth was seen tweeting about a local charity event that he was asked to M.C at, in which it apparently raised a staggering $1.3 million for a selection of charities. We do have to say that is superb work and an excellent result.
I MCed a Charity event last night in my neighborhood and we raised $1.3 Million for the charities!! Nice night!!

It seemed that the next day was all about treating himself for being so kind, he took in a football game between the San Fransisco 49ers and the Green Bay Packers, sharing some more tweets and a nice picture.

Once the action was over, Rousso revealed that she is getting right back into poker after taking a little break after the WSOP and is heading for Europe.
Getting ready to head to Montreal then London and Paris…Vegas has been fun, but now it’s time to hit the road again…
