“Isildur1” Wins $1.4 Million in 24 Hours

Viktor Blom started the month almost $2 million in profit, then he quickly let all that go by turning a massive positive into a half a million loss, but Blom will be Blom and so he soon came back. Yesterday Blom picked the day of all days starting in the red zone for the first time this month. And it was a different Blom we’ve been seeing as of late, as he ran so good that he rang up $1,219,915 in profits by the end of the day. Furthermore, in the course of the early hours of the next morning, he had bumped that amount up almost another $200k making it $1.4 million in less than 24 hours.

First stop was a morning session taking Isaac “luvtheWNBA” Haxton. Blom started by regaining $150k on the $500/$1000 CAP No Limit Hold’em Heas-Up tables. He was then in for his most profitable game of the year. 2-7 Triple Draw gave Blom a further $49k to add to his ammunition.

Blom had the cash to shoot with and he started firing it at the Fixed Limit Omaha Eight-or-Better Split tables. Blom plugged away in the morning versus Ike, and in the afternoon grinding some more out of “KPR16” and “samrostan”. Blom’s continued upswing also meant he would run into the returns of Phil “Polarizing” Ivey, Patrik “FinddaGrind” Antonius and Gus Hansen. It was to be end up Blom’s best FLO8 session of the year, as he took a $685,150 profit margin away at the strike of his last Omaha hand of the day.

In between the incredible Omaha runs, Blom was off to use his massive daily cash on the $400/$800 No Limit Hold’em Heads-Up tables to grind out some of his previous losses to “SanIker”. Blom started on a 6 figure losing streak before reversing the play in his favour taking a $73k profit. Both players quit the $400/$800 stakes and stepped up to the $500/$1000 CAP tables, and Blom was still on fire taking another $212k from “SanIker”.

In a brief encounter, the return of Phil Ivey was a joy for Blom as he turned Ivey’s day upside down sending the pro further into the red. Before his return to the virtual tables yesterday, Ivey was $2,175,226 down and Blom added another $52k to that misery, where he rinsed Ivey at the No Limit 2-7 Triple Draw tables in the space of 25 hands, leaving Ivey nursing what is now a $2,484,680 loss.

The Blom show continued to run on as the action went back to “SanIker” versus “Isildur1” for more heads-up. This game swung up and down creating some big pots and 6 figure changes in both players’ bankrolls. In the end, it was Blom who came out the victor once again, dragging another $130k his way.
