Last Week In Poker – The Roundup!

Last Week In Poker – The Roundup!

Last week saw the end of the European based tournaments for a while as the live action for the next few months being held in the USA. With the World Series Of Poker Europe now over, last week saw the last major event to be held on this side of the Atlantic in the European Poker Tour San Remo.

That event saw many big names and many big prizes as it wasn’t just the Main Event that provided these. Also last week was the latest WSOP Circuit stop where Dan Heimiller not only won the title, bracelet and winner’s cheque but also a seat in the upcoming World Series Of Poker National Championship.

In other news there was an update on the Full Tilt Poker re-launch after a few months of quiet surrounding the subject.

Ludovic Lacay Wins EPT San Remo Main Event!

Ludovic Lacay firmly established himself as one of the best and successful French professionals on the poker circuit today. He has raked in around $2 million in tournament earnings throughout his career, which was before he had even made this final table.

Before this event his biggest payout was in the 2009 World Series of Poker Main Event where he had a deep run and pocketed around $500k. The win in the San Remo Main event has added to that to the tune of another $1 million.

Kevin Stammen was another big winner at the event after winning a €2,100 side event for a total of $120k and also making the final table of the €10,000 High Roller. He actually finished runner up in that event as he lost heads up against Barry Spindler to take home $257,499.

Dan Heimiller Wins WSOP Circuit Indiana!

The WSOP Circuit may still only in the warming up stages, yet there have already been a good selection of players who have won their seats at the national Championship next April. Dan Heimiller’s name has now been added to that list as he took down the WSOP Circuit Southern Indiana Main Event last week for $117,300. The runner up in that event Jonathan Taylor will also be at the National Champioship as he has already won not one but two WSOP Circuit events this year.

Full Tilt Announced The Re-Launch Date!

PokerStars finally announced the re-launch date of their newly acquired Full Tilt Poker site, with it going live on the 6th of November. The website to Full Tilt Poker now also has a countdown listing exactly how many days until the site goes live.

They also revealed their repayment plans for all non-US based players, with most being able to have full access to their funds when the site re-launches.
