Looking Forward To A Packed Christmas Poker Schedule

Looking Forward To A Packed Christmas Poker Schedule

If you thought that the festive season was going to bring us another dull time with regards to poker action, think again! This year things have changed for the better for all of us poker junkies out there, with a whole host of tournaments set to kick off in the next month.

Whilst the festive season is usually a slow one for poker, this year it is providing us with plenty to feast on.

GUKPT Grand Final

The first dish on the Christmas menu is the Grosvenor UK Poker Tour Grand Final, with the event signaling the end of this year’s GUKPT tour. The event will be a £2,500+£125 buy-in affair which is double the amount of any other event they have put on throughout the year.

The event is to be held in London at the Grosvenor Victoria Casino from the 30th of November, with the organisers hoping it will be just as successful, if not even more successful than last year.

GPS Grand Final

Another event kicking off in London is the Genting Poker Series Grand Final, which is to start on the 6th of December at the Fox Poker Club. The buy-in will be £1,500+£100 and the event is set to play out over three days.

It really seems like London is the place to be this Christmas if it is poker tournaments you are after. With both the events we have listed so far running back to back, there really is no need for the player to travel too far to find another event.

WPT Prague Main Event

For any of our readers that either fancy a little break from the UK or actually live abroad themselves, there is a certain World Poker Tour event going on over in Prague next week. It is to start on the 3rd of December with it holding three opening day flights. This event was absolutely massive last year, with it in fact being the most successful of all of the European based WPT events.

EPT Prague Main Event

Where there is one, there is two. Much like in London, it seems that Prague is certainly going to be full of poker heads this Christmas. The European Poker Tour Prague Main Event is set to start on the 9th of December, which actually coincides with the final table at the WPT Main Event. I think the premise is, if you have been eliminated from the WPT, head straight over to the EPT.

That just about covers everything that is set to be happening in the world of poker this Christmas, before it all starts over again in January with events like the PCA and Aussie Millions.
