Day 1c at the Macau Poker Cup Red Dragon Main Event was the final opening day flight, it brought in 280 players to take the overall count for the event up to 645 for its debut at the PokerStars LIVE at the City Of Dreams.
That has in fact meant that this was the second biggest Red Dragon event ever and it managed to create a prize pool of HK$6,331,578.
Guan Yu Chen was the player that performed the best on Day 1c as he not only topped the day’s leader board with a stack of 215,600, but was also the overall leader across all of the opening day flights. This achievement was made all the sweeter due to the fact there were a number of highly respected pros from this region taking part, including many former winners of this event.
Many of them tried to come back and win again but for the majority they were dumped out on Day 1c, including Victor Chen, Kitty Kuo and Terry Fan.
PokerStars Team Pro Bryan Huang was possibly the biggest name to make it into Day 2 from this flight though and despite a tough last few levels he is relieved to be able to get some rest.
