MiniFTOPS awards $368,000 on Day Two

The popular online poker circuit is in full swing and three events concluded on Day 2, with the winners taking home nearly $370,000. In each of these three tournaments, the guaranteed prize pool was exceeded with two events awarding almost twice as much money.

Event 3 Pot-Limit Omaha Hi, Rebuy was the first one to finish with 1103 players entering the tournament and competing for a guaranteed amount of $25,000. With the buy-in set $11, it was only natural for the prize pool to exceed $35,000 and a total of 108 players finished in the money. The nine who made the final table won an amount that exceeded the guaranteed prize with the player using the screen name “chicha62” emerging victorious:

The biggest prizes were won in Event #4 – NL Hold’em, Re-Entry Tournament where 2888 players paid $109 each for a guaranteed price of $150,000. After all the re-buys were made it became obvious that the prize pool will increase to $288,800 and 279 players made the money. The smallest price was $216, while the winner “floppin_ell” won the very round sum of $50,000 after a deal was reached during heads-up.

Event #5 – NL Hold’em, Rush drew large crowds, more precisely 2269 players and this led to the guaranteed price of $25,000 to be boosted to $45,380. The buy-in was $20 +2 dollars and 234 players enjoyed a nice return on investment, with the smallest amounts being twice as high as the buy-in. At the opposite end of the spectrum, the player using the screen name “Salomon XI” won in excess of $9000, while the runner-up had to settle for almost $6,000.

The MiniFTOPS resumes on Tuesday with three more tournaments promising to award in excess of $100,000 in games of Texas hold ‘em, Omaha and Razz. The guaranteed prize pool stands at $85,000, but past performance is an excellent indicator and suggests that the total amount will be considerably higher.
