Negreanu Heater Continues – SCOOP Win Achieved

Dwan, NegreanuNegreanu is running hot, there is no doubt about that, he is running so hot he even produced one of his latest video rants on the subject. Well if there was any proof in the pudding that his current run of making it onto four final tables in his last five tournaments and of course winning one of them in the WSOP APAC Main Event, it is that he has now even transferred that run online.

He has always been more successful playing in a live format and had never won a major online event before, well until yesterday that is!

He took on 180 players in one of the PokerStars SCOOP events, namely the $5k Pot Limit Omaha 6-Max. He came out on top and took home $216,000 bringing his recent earnings from cashes up to $1.8 million.

Things are really starting to look good for one of the most popular guys in poker, especially considering the World Series of Poker is just around the corner.

The PokerStars SCOOP $5k Pot Limit Omaha 6-Max

The event he played wasn’t an easy one either as it was full of big names such as Jason Mercier, Shaun Deeb, Justin Bonomo and fellow PokerStars Team Pro Ike Haxton. Even the final table had another WSOP bracelet winner, with Joe “ender555” Ebanks, though he eventually fell in fourth place.

He looked strong throughout the event and was already the chip leader when there were just ten players remaining. He never looked back from there and navigated his way through the remaining players.

He eventually found himself heads up against “FA_Morgoth” from Austria and was simply too strong for his opponent.

How It Finished!

1st) Daniel “KidPoker” Negreanu – $216,000.00

2nd) “FA_Morgoth” – $148,950.00

3rd) “römpsä” – $112,500.00

4th) “ender555” – $76,500.00

5th) “leshkaGmBlZ” – $58,500.00

6th) “rdcrsn” – $40,500.00

Negreanu will now be full of confidence heading into the most important few months on the poker calendar. Who would bet against his run continuing and him taking home a bracelet or four? We certainly wouldn’t right now!
