Phil Galfond Recoups $362k Of Previous Losses

shutterstock_120456247A few couple of days ago we saw that Phil “OMGClayAiken” Galfond had suffered huge losses at the high stakes tables that amounted to $600k, however just like any top class poker player, he got straight back on the horse and has since then gathered back more than half of it back.

He did this on the 2-7 Triple Draw tables against some of the best online cash players around like Phil “Polarizing” Ivey, “patpatpanda”, Viktor “Isildur1” Blom and “punting-peddler”, with his total profit being $362.1k. He played three separate sessions at the tables totalling just under five hours to achieve these rewards, then packed up for the day.

Despite his winnings coming from that bunch of players, others on that table also had a good day at the office. “punting-peddler” scored $341.3k during this period, though only $60k from the TD tables, the rest came from sessions on the $1,500/$3,000 mixed game tables with his biggest victim being “Erik1223”.

Phil “Polarizing” Ivey also secured good profits, his $293k was also earned on both the 2-7 Triple Draw and mixed game tables though most of it came from playing Fixed Limit Omaha Hi/Lo.

In a busy period of high stakes action, we also had a few other winners of more than $200k, with “Kagome Kagome” scoring $294.9k playing Triple Draw and “PostFlopAction” banked a deserved $266.7k mainly playing the FLO8 tables.

With so many winners, there has to be some loser’s right? Unfortunately yes, with the biggest one during this period being “KPR16” as he dropped a whopping $575k, mainly to Ivey and “PostFlopAction” on the FLO8 tables.

The Largest Pots!

Yesterday we saw “Sauce1234” and “Isildur1” yet again going head to head with some heads up action, which always guarantees big pots. This occasion was certainly no different, with the largest being a $150k affair which “Isildur1” took after hitting two pair to crack the aces of his opponent.

He won most of that back though in another pot that totalled $133.8k; this time he made a straight on the river to all but clear out Blom’s buy-in.

Most of the action was at Full Tilt Poker this time around, though there was one big winner at PokerStars. ‘Odd_Oddsen” won just under $115k whilst plying his trade on the $50/$100 pot Limit Omaha tables.

The Biggest Profits!

OMGClayAiken – ($362.1k)

punting-peddler – ($341.3k)

Kagome Kagome – ($294.9)
