Vicky CorenNo matter what Victoria Coren does she becomes a success at it, whether it is as a journalist, writer, television presenter, poker commentator and of course poker player.

Born in 1972 in Hammersmith London, it was clear from an early age that she not only had a love of writing but a natural talent for it too. By the age of 14 she was already writing columns for magazines and newspapers, something that she still enjoys doing now.

We are more interested in her poker career however, with success coming her way. She was the very first woman to claim a European Poker Tour title when she won the EPT London in 2006 for £500,000 and has since gone on to make another final table and secure five more cashes on the tour.

She plays in UK events more than any others due to her other numerous careers, though she does on occasion travel to other events on the poker circuit. However, since that big win she has yet to add another major title to her name, though will be more than satisfied with the $1.7 million she has earned from her live tournament career .

 

She has yet to recreate a big win like the EPT Event above, but did again make the money in EPT London High Roller event after finishing 20th for a payout of $31,431.
