PokerStars 2013 WCOOP – George Danzer Comes Second

We now have just over twenty events remaining at the 2013 PokerStars World Championship Of Online Poker as another three were completed yesterday. The most notable name that came closest to a bracelet was PokerStars Team Pro George Danzer after he finished one place shy of taking home a bracelet.

Event #40 – $1,050 No Limit Holdem $500,000 Gtd

The first event at the PokerStars WCOOP to finish up today was an event that more than doubled its guaranteed prize pool of $500k after 1,210 players created a true one of $1,210,000. Over two days of action, 152 of those players finished up getting paid with the largest slice going to the eventual winner being “Zimmy86” after he beat PokerStars Team Pro “GeorgeDanzer” heads up to claim the $182,856.62 first place payout.

The second event was also one that ran over two days as this NLHE event attracted 2,547 players to bring a prize pool of $652,032, a good $150k more than the $500k guarantee. The player that took home the biggest payday from out of the top 324 finishers was that of “young_diam18” after he secured the bracelet and $96,876.80 after defeating “weygang” heads up.

The biggest event that was started yesterday was another of the high roller events, with this one being a heads up one bringing in 61 players who were more than happy to part ways with $10,300 in order to create a guarantee doubling prize pool of $610,000.

It attracted some massive names in Viktor “Isildur1” Blom, Bertrand “ElkY” Grospellier, Shaun Deeb and Ben “Sauce123” Sulsky but none of them could match the eventual winner in Daniel “mrGr33n13” Colman who is a heads up specialist as he took home $172,500 along with his bracelet.
