The PokerStars Turbo Championship Of Online Poker started last night, with the second season of the series seeing four events played out on the first day. The turbo format is not for everyone; however there is a large amount of players that simply cannot get enough of it.

Here are the events that took place yesterday:

TCOOP 2013 Event 1 – $27 No Limit Holdem Six Max

The very first event of the 2013 TCOOP schedule saw a staggering 38,176 players jumping in, with each of them having their eyes on a TCOOP title and bags full of money. That number started the tournament off well with it creating a prize pool of $937,220.80, nearly $200k more than the $750k guarantee.

The eventual winner was “jogin23” after the whole of the final table agreed to chop the prize pool, he managed to take down “sascha_me” during heads up and becomes the first title holder of 2013.

TCOOP 2013 Event 2 – $55 No Limit Omaha Hi/Lo

The second event didn’t have a prize pool guarantee, yet it still attracted a healthy number of players, with there being 3,144 in total which built a prize pool of $157,200. The largest share of that went to “Yaba” who took home $22,339.14 for his win.

TCOOP 2013 Event 3 – $215 No Limit Holdem Knockout

The third event and biggest of the day in terms of payouts found 4,632 players willing to part ways with $215, which in turn created a combined prize pool and bounty pool of $891,070. Knockout events always seem to prove popular, with the added incentive to eliminate your opponents.

The eventual winner was “Patokaka2007” who despite agreeing to a chop of the prize pool when heads up against “max700” took home $109,257.40 and a nice little bonus of $660 on top for taking out 16 opponents along the way.

TCOOP 2013 Event 4 – $55 No Limit Holdem

The last event saw 7852 players take to the felt in a keenly contested occasion, with that number creating a guarantee busting prize pool of $392,600.00. The player that would eventually be crowned the winner was “MONSTER_DONG” after he demolished the final table and took home $59,718.60.
