It has finally happened, the first ever PokerStars UK & Ireland Poker Tour on the Isle Of Man is on underway. The first of two opening day flights did pretty well too, attracting 113 players who would be trying their very best to try and take down this inaugural title.
The day finished with 54 players who did manage to progress into Day 2 with Dara O’Kearney topping the chip counts on 112,100.
The @PokerStarsBlog is reporting that I am overnight chip leader. Weeeee. Have jumped into turbo side event #UKIPTIOM

Other notables that made it through included Niall Farrell, Dominik Nitsche, David Yan, Sam Razavi and PokerStars Team Pro Mickey Petersen. That’s not a bad group of players considering the location of this event yet there are many more big names set to take part in Day 1b.

Among those that could not advance in this event were Dermot Blain, Jason Wheeler and PokerStars Team Pro André Coimbra, though with a selection of events being held on the Isle Of Man, we are sure they can find something to keep them busy.
