The PokerStars 2013 SCOOP – By The Numbers

2013 scoopThis year’s PokerStars Spring Championship Of Online Poker (SCOOP) has just recently come to an end after two weeks of intense action spread across a whopping 132 events. Viktor “Isildur1” Blom will be remembered for the biggest win during this event for taking down the ‘High’ Main Event, yet there was life changing money being won on a daily basis throughout this series.

We know that there are many of you out there that love nothing more than a few stats and figures, so we have broken down the SCOOP into numbers.

SCOOP 2013 Total Prize Pool – $75,585,305.05

It is amazing to think that across the two weeks of action there was more than $75 million handed out to players on PokerStars.

Largest Event Prize Pool – Main Event ‘High’ – $5,800,800

As expected, the “High” Main Event brought in the most interest, with 580 players all putting $10k into the prize pool to bring us the largest of the 2013 SCOOP series.

Total Number Of Players Taking Part – 480,160

Though this figure will obviously harbour the fact that many players played more than one event, it is still an astonishing amount of entries into this year’s SCOOP.

Largest Single Field Size – SCOOP Event 2 ‘Low’ $27 NLHE – 26,678

It was a close run thing for this accolade between the first ‘Low’ event and this one; however it just managed to edge it by 1,300 entrants.

Most Won By Player

Low – “Mliz” – $189,015.34

Med – “nicofellow” – $472,209.35

High – Viktor “Isildur1” Blom – $1,096,200.00

Funnily enough, the players that won the most for their respective buy-ins were all the winners of the Main Events.

Most Cashes By Player

Low – “PSMozak – 14

Med – “Rens02”, “shaundeeb”, “stevie444” – 11

High – “THAY3r” – 9

These are the players that managed to run deep enough to make the money in the most events (notice a certain professional Shaun Deeb amongst them).

Most Final Tables By Player

Low – “-ANALNATSHA-“, “Goral” – 2

Med – “aDrENalin710”, “AceQuad”, “cal42688” – 2

High – “AceQuad”, “Amadi_017” – 4

It is a massive achievement to make just one final table in tournaments of this size but to do it on multiple occasions is just unbelievable.

Money Won By Country

Low – Russia – $1,309,010.78

Med – Canada – $2,633,515.85

High – Canada – $8,496,795.59

We feel the figures here are all a bit messed up, simply because a lot of the USA professional players moved to other countries to ply their online poker trade after online gambling was shut down (isn’t Canada one of the closest countries to go to?)

Cashes by Country

Low – Russia – 7,283

Med – Canada – 1,304

High – Canada – 461

Again, Canada (plus America) accounts for the most cashes in the medium and high stakes events.

Final Tables By Country

Low – Russia – 42

Med – Russia – 45

High – Canada – 69

Entrants By Country

Low – Russia – 58,354

Med – Canada – 11,760

High – Canada – 3,637

Events Won by Country

Low – United Kingdom – 8

Med – Russia – 8

High – Canada – 12

How about that, the UK gets a mention with the most ‘Low’ events won by a country.

Well, there you go, the SCOOP in numbers. With this series now out of the way we are sure that many players will be packing their bags and getting ready to jump on planes to Las Vegas in time for the World Series of Poker.
