It’s been a great year for Rhys “floppinhel” Jones as he climbs up the world rankings chart confirming his place and his right to be amongst the world’s poker greats.
Jones is now one of the UK’s best players on the poker circuit, and the PocketFives Rankings have noticed. The way this ranking system calculates player rating is by using a Sliding PLB score. The rankings first started eight years ago keeping close track of player’s progress in online tournaments from the biggest events around the world.
It is similar to the GPI rankings used to rate live tournament, with old results slowly being phased out by subtracting the scores gained in older events. These scoring systems are designed to keep the leader board as current as possible, so the players and the fans can see who is on form and who is remaining consistent on the poker circuit.
Chris “moorman1” Moorman, who was recently in the news for opening his own website and heading to the $10 million mark, keeps the first place. In second place Jude “j.thaddeus” Ainsworth is just ahead of Jones while Charlie “chaz_man_chaz” Combes and Toby “810ofclubs” Lewis are just trailing in 4th and 5th.
