UKIPT Online Begins – PokerStars Sunday Promises More Big Winners!

Ever since the UK & Ireland Poker Tour began three years ago, it is fair to say that it has completely revolutionised tournament poker on this side of the world. However, it is now going even further, by debuting online.

For the first time it will be available to people all over the world, with online qualifying meaning that millions will now have access to this tournament.

It will work by allowing players the opportunity to get to a final live table in Bristol this November, with players having to survive a two day online event first. The £250,000 guaranteed event starts up today starts at 4pm GMT today with a buy-in of £700+£35. Each player will start out with 10k in chips and have to navigate through 22 levels that last 20 minutes apiece, with all players that survive the day on 8-max tables set to continue on Monday at 7pm GMT to play right down to the final table of eight.

Any player lucky enough to make that online final table will not only win a package to play the table, but also a ticket into the Main Event at the UKIPT too.

PokerStars Sunday!

As usual, Sunday means one thing with regards to poker online…The PokerStars Sunday schedule. PokerStars delivers us the biggest weekly online tournaments every Sunday with the Sunday Million and the Sunday Warm-Up.

Online poker players always centre their weeks around this tournament, with them always rubbing their hands together at the prospect of winning big money in the $1 million and $500k guaranteed events respectively.

Last week saw 6,377 players taking part and “JopperHarryN” winning the Sunday Million and adding a more than welcome $165k to his PokerStars account. By winning he also proved the point that as long as you can get to that final table you still have a good chance of winning despite how many chips you have. He was actually the short stack when he first got to the table, yet managed to consistently build his stack to eventually take down the title.

The Sunday Warm-Up also saw a big field as there was a total of 3,187 players all looking to take the lion’s share of the $637k prizepool. It was actually “Manta_Rays” who took the $100k first place prize, with the Swede performing excellently throughout the whole event. He played superbly to beat a tough final table that included players such as ‘FELL77”, “Baverx” and “iamtheboss12”.

We will bring you a report on just who wins the events as soon as we know ourselves.
