There doesn’t seem to be too much difference between building walls and building stacks for the bricklayer Duncan McLellan as he has just taken down the inaugural UK & Ireland Poker Tour Isle Of Man Main Event.
He had to overcome the toughest opponent on the table in PokerStars Team Pro Fatima Moreira de Melo during heads up. He started that session with double the chips of his opponent and never looked like losing that lead to be honest. He did wear his opponent down and eventually claimed the title when his pocket fives turned into a straight on the flop to beat out De Melo’s Ah-10d.
He claimed £94,090 for the win whilst De Melo was awarded £59,660 for her efforts.
I will get back to everyone personally, but for now: Huge thanks for everyone's support throughout the #UKIPTIOM ! Really happy now!!

The day started with eight players but it always looked like proceedings would be played out at a frantic pace. The first level saw one elimination in Adam Topping before the action really started to heat up as the next level saw O’Connor, Stacey and Lodge all fall within a short space of time.
Next to go was Christopher Jonat before the final three briefly discussed the possibility of a deal, though the chip leader and eventual winner McLellan was having none of it and play continued.
Straight after those talks it was down to the remaining two as De Melo claimed another scalp by taking out Richard Milne. This left us heads up and as you already know; McLellan went on to claim the title.
