UKIPT Nottingham 6-Max: David Price tops Day 1b

David Price in UKIPT Nottingham

One day after Mitch Johnson ended Day 1a as chip leader, David Price replicated his performance and beat 132 players. Only 54 of them will be returning tomorrow for Day 2 and this means that a total of 78 players are left to compete for the main prize in the UKIPT Main Event.

Several PokerStars Pros bought in and even more secured a seat at the Main Event by winning qualifiers and some of them are still in the race. Kyle Maguire is among the best placed ones, despite the fact that two hours before the end of Day 1b he was slightly disappointed for having virtually the same amount as he started with.

Among the PokerStars players who enjoyed a surge at the end of Day 1b is Jack Ellwood who finished the day 4th. He has just 1,300 more and Ludovic Gellich, also from the United Kingdom, is right behind him with 76,000 chips.

Once again, the vast majorities of players, 49 out of the 54 who survived Day 1b are from the UK, with a Chinese, an American and three Lithuanians among them.

Second flight’s leader David Price made his way to the Nottingham event by winning a satellite
