Upcoming Poker Tournaments In June

june 2013With May now coming to an end this week, it is time for us to look ahead to June with regards to poker tournaments. May saw the end of both of this seasons European and World Poker Tours so many might have assumed that there will not be too much going on.

How wrong they are as there is the matter of the world’s largest poker tournament in the 44th annual World Series Of Poker kicking off and running until mid-July. We also see a new tournament in the GuangDong Asia Millions, the start of a new poker tour in the International Stadiums Poker Tour and the next instalment of the PokerStars Asia Pacific Poker Tour Macau.

World Series of Poker 2013 (44th Annual) May 29th July 15th

Though the WSOP officially starts at the end of May, the majority of the action will be played out through June. The World Series of Poker really needs no introduction, as it is the oldest and most significant poker tournament on the planet.

This year there will be a total of 62 events spread across a month and a half, though the most attraction will be going to the historic Main Event which starts on the 6th of July and lasts for ten days until the final table is reached.

ISPT Wembley May 31st June 5th

This event has taken a long time coming and has suffered numerous setbacks along the way, however we are finally going to see if this event can prove to be a success and become a regular on the poker calendar each year.

The first of their stadium events will be happening at the world’s most famous stadium Wembley in London.

PokerStars GuangDong Asia Millions June 4th June 7th

PokerStars recently announced that they were teaming up with GuangDong Ltd to host a huge HK$1 Million buy in event. This translates to about $130,000 and is set to attract more than 100 players willing to risk that sort of money.

If those numbers do show up, this event will have one of the largest prize pools in the history of poker (except for the WSOP of course). Many big name players have already confirmed that they will be attending this event at the PokerStars LIVE City Of Dreams venue in Macau even though they will miss the start of the WSOP.

PokerStars APPT Macau June 7th June 16th

Following immediately after the Asia Millions above, the PokerStars Asia Pacific Poker Tour Macau will get underway at the very same venue. This will be the second APPT event in Macau this year so far, though the first to be held at the PokerStars LIVE City Of Dreams.

It is an excellent event to give those players on the other side of the world a top quality poker tournament if they cannot spare the time or money to get to Vegas for the WSOP.

We will be following each of these events and bringing regular updates, so stick with us and you will not miss a thing!
