Viktor “Isildur1” Blom Scoops Yet Another Million

1 Million signIt is typical of Viktor “Isildur1” Blom to suffer a few bad times at the table and then suddenly inflict huge amounts of damage on his opponents at the high stakes tables and clean up in a short amount of time.

He may have struggled during the latter part of this week but that was all put behind him as he recorded profits of just under $1 million during the last couple of days.

This all began when he started out with a session on the $2,000/$4,000 Fixed Limit Omaha tables and was up against the likes of “SallyWoo” and “KPR16”. He actually fell to losses here to the tune of more than $100k which didn’t bode well for the day.

However in true “Isildur1” fashion he never gave up and quickly turned that deficit into profits when a later session at the site saw him multi-table against a selection of different opponents such as Patrik “FinddaGrind” Antonius and that man again “KPR16”. He walked away with a total profit so far on the day of $177k.

This was just an appetiser of what was to come though as the real money was made during a $500/$1,000 CAP pot Limit Omaha session against a table full of top class high stakes pros. First of all it was just him and Phil “OMGClayAiken” Galfond, but then many more players sat at the table including Sam “S3TRX” Trickett, Benny “psychobenny” Spindler, Ben “Bttech86” Tollerene and Jens “Ingenious89” Kyllonen.

This table didn’t really produce any big winners though with many players leaving after a short period, in fact only Spindler walked away with a decent profit of $114.1k.

This left Galfond and Blom playing heads up against each other and whilst the action was pretty even for most of the session, an unbelievable assault by Blom in the last hour of five saw him take his profits right up to $814k. Galfond graciously accepted defeat and left the tables at this point.

This meant Blom had now achieved profits of $991.7k for the day and was easily the day’s biggest winner. Spindler was second with that score of $114.1k whilst the only other winners of note were “wilhasha” with $105.6k and “Trueteller” with $104.9k.

The Highest Earners

Isildur1 – (+$991.7k)

psychobenny – (+$114.1k)

wilhasha – (+$105.6k)

Trueteller – (+$104.9k)

There promises to be even more top quality poker action on the high stakes tables over the weekend, which of course we will be following, so stay tuned and will keep you fully updated.
