The Main Event has been played out across two days after 2,133 players created a huge prize pool of $10,655,000.

PokerStars Team Pros Liv Boeree, Jason Mercier, Jake Cody and Vicky Coren all managed to get deep enough to cash but none could match their fellow team pro Shane “shaniac” Schegler after he managed to make the final table and finish in 6th place for a payout of $291,154.50.

Once the final table got down to three handed, the players remaining discussed a deal that ensured each of them will be banking at least $1 million each and playing for an additional $160,000. The first to go was “SwissCantMis” for a payout of $1,101,835, which left us with an intense heads up session between the two finalists who were neck and neck for the majority of it.

However, “PlayinWasted” eventually manage to chip down his opponent and finished off by winning the final hand with his As-Ks making a flush on the river to secure a payout of $1,493,499, a WCOOP bracelet, a diamond and gold watch and of course the much coveted WCOOP Main Event title.
