Weekly High Stakes

US Dollars

Another week has past at the online high stakes tables of both PokerStars and Full Tilt and it has been no surprise that there had been an increase in this action ever since Phil “Polarizing” Ivey has been seen consistently at the tables.

However, whilst he had a profitable week the week before, the last week saw him lose the majority of what he had won. Check out how he and everyone faired last week and what it has done for the yearly totals.

The week’s biggest winner was found over at PokerStars where he notched up profits of $227,465. That player was “terryhsu” who took in just over 8,000 hands at the table to get that result. He was followed by Dan “w00kiez” Cates with $188,211, who this time spent time playing at PokerStars rather than Full Tilt.

Another profit by Dan Cates sees him stay right where he is, at the top of the yearly profits with $2,807,509 but he is only a few hundred thousand ahead of “punting-peddler” in second place with $2,571,235. With just a little over a month to go until the New Year, Cates will be thinking he has this particular race sewn up but as we all know, anything can happen in poker.
