Weekly Online Movers and Shakers – Blom Dominates

winners and losers

Following his live tourneys appearances, Viktor Blom returned to online action and notched up nearly half a million in online winnings in the past week.

While Blom’s action was limited to only 12 sessions that spanned a total of 1,044 hands, he did manage to make the most of the small sample. This past Thursday was the big day for the online superstar, adding about $350,000 to his weekly total. The games in question were Pot-Limit Omaha and Deuce to Seven Triple Draw, variants that Blom is becoming increasingly comfortable with, which is certainly bad news for his opponents. This week’s main victims were Ben “Bttech86″ Tollerene, who took on the Swede at two PLO Cap tables with stakes of $500/$1000 and Niklas “ragen70″ Heinecker, both of which found themselves on the losing side.

Not to be content beating two of the top players at some of the most difficult forms of poker, Blom turned his attention Friday to the game of $2,000/$4,000 heads up Omaha Hi-Lo. His opponent this time was “SallyWoo,” a noted high stakes regular and thought to be one of the leading O8 players in the world. However, this was to be Blom’s day as he took home around $100,000 for his time against the pro.

To cap off the triple crown, Blom returned to the tables again on Saturday against Alexander Kostritsyn in the mixed 8-Game format.  ”PostFlopAction” suffered a similar fate as “SallyWoo,” losing nearly $100,000 during the sesion. Another PLO session against Tollerene also took place on Saturday and went Blom’s way.

In short, “Isildur1″ is on fire, taking on the top names in every game and coming out not only unscathed but with considerable profits to boot. At this rate, the young poker ace may start to think about avoiding the tournaments completely and focus his attention on the profitable high stakes cash games that can be found online.
