The World Poker Tour Borgata Open has been quietly sorting the best from the rest throughout this week and now that we have reached the end of Day 3, there are 36 players remaining including some of the world’s most notable players.
The day started with 174 players that had performed well enough to see them progress through to Day 3, though there would still be 64 of them going home without a payday. This meant that Day 3 witnessed the bubble come and go whilst relieving the tension of 100 of them as they would secure themselves a payout of some kind.
Cong Pham finished up the day with the chip lead after bagging up 2,548,000 chips to confirm himself as the current favourite to land the title. He certainly does not have it sewn up just yet though as he has players such as PokerStars team pro Vanessa Selbst, Jake Schwartz, Jeremy Kottler and David Randall hot on his heels in the top ten.
Bagged 2.145 Million in Borgata Main. 36 players left from 1200. $825K for the win

For those that were eliminated on Day 4, we had some who were eliminated in the money and others that had to leave empty handed. For the former we saw Paul Volpe, Matt Salsberg, Christina Lindley, Justin Zaki and Allen Kessler at least bag a few pennies.
And I’m out in 39th… Seems like I played way to long to get 39th. Gl to my swaps..

Seth Berger, Will Failla and Erik Cajelais however had to go home knowing that they had played three days of poker without getting anything from them.
Those 36 will now return to the felt in a few hours and will then play down until the final table has been made. Looking at the field right now, it could be one of those events where a really strong final table is established.
