WPT Borgata Winter Open Day 1b – 450 Advance

WSOP chips

The second opening day flight at the World Poker Tour Borgata Winter Open was completed a few hours ago as Day 1b brought in another large amount of registrations for the event. In total there were 806 players that took a seat in the event, but come the end of another eight levels of play there were just around 450 of them that would be heading into Day 2 today.

They will be joined by the other 207 survivors that made it through Day 1a, meaning we have around 657 returning to the felt later.

Topping the days chip counts was Todd Rebello after a successful stint at the felt brought him 229,825. Thats a good 20k more than Robert Boyko sitting in second place with 209,500.

There is a large number of big name players scattered throughout that field including Dan O’Brien, Faraz Jaka, Andy Frankenberger, Mike Sexton, Mohsin Charania, Victor Ramdin and the ever consistent Will Failla.

With so many players falling on Day 1b it is expected that there is going to be plenty of notables scattered through that amount too. The day saw the eliminations of the likes of Jonathan Little, Matt Waxman, Bryn Kenney, Chino Rheem and PokerStars Team Pro Vanessa Selbst.

Day 2 will commence at 12 noon ET and will see all of the players coming back to the felt in order to try and make a deep run in this event and at least make the money. The prize pool information will be available tomorrow but it is estimated the winner of this event will be going home with around $900k. Be sure to catch up on all of the action by coming back to us tomorrow.
