Day 1b at the World Poker Tour Caribbean was completed not so long ago and it saw just 64 of the 116 players that started the day join the 75 survivors from Day 1a into Day 2 later on tonight. Leading both sets of survivors is Ebony Kenney after she used her second shot on Day 1b to accumulate 174,000 chips.
She will be joined by other notables into Day 2 such as Justin Zaki, Igor Kurganov, and Fabian Quoss, with each of them now hoping to improve further to ensure that they make the paying places past the money bubble on Day 2.

The action was the usual high octane stuff that would always expect from a World Poker Tour event and we saw a mixture of players progressing and others that could not quite do enough to navigate themselves into Day 2. Among the top chips counts are Viet Vo on 135,000, Ben Warrington on 111,600, Ferenc Riech on 107,700 and Fedor Holz on 94,800. Not everyone could make it through though as we lost the likes of Phillip Gruissem, Jared Jaffee, and Jonathan Roy, though the former two have come off the back of big tournament wins on the WPT so it’s only fair that the share out the glory a little bit.
Just busted… #partytime

Be sure to join us once more tomorrow to see which players have managed just that. We will also be able to bring you the full prize pool information.
