WPT Caribbean Day 4 – Dunst Leads, Rettenmaier Looms

The Caribbean was again full of professional poker players as the World Poker Tour stop in the country roared on through the night. Day 4 started with just 11 players and had to see that number reduced to just the six that will play out on the televised final table of six later tonight.

Once that number had been reached it was a tight affair regarding the chip lead as we had Tony Dunst and Severin Schleser on 1,418,000 and 1,416,000 respectively.

In fact the top four are fairly well stacked with both Robbie Bakker and Marvin Rettenmaier looking dangerous with more than 1 million apiece. The short stacks going into the final table will be Giacomo Fundaro and Zoltan Purak on 458,000 and 324,000 respectively but they will still feel that an early double up can put them right back into the hunt for the title.

Five players had to go on the penultimate day and they included Bobby Oboodi, Ebony Kenney and the final table bubble boy Jean-Nicolas Fortin. They will at least have the consolidation of taking home sizeable payouts of between $10,500 and $23,800.

You do not want to miss this final table as it looks like it is going to be an extremely tough one. Check in with us tomorrow so that we can fill you in on all of the action at the tables over in the Caribbean.
