Day 3 at the World Poker Tour Five Diamond Poker Classic is now done and dusted as the 145 hopefuls that started the day were dramatically reduced to a total of just 59 going into Day 4. Those players will now return later today in order to try and get themselves into the top 45 spots in order to at least cash in the event.
Leading the chip counts currently is Don Nguyen after he surged to the top with a total of 774,500 chips. He has the likes of Mohsin Charania, Dan O’Brien and Joe Serock directly behind him in the top ten, so will not be feeling too comfortable just yet.
Also in the hunt on Day 4 will be the likes of Jeff Madsen, Jean-Robert Bellande, Galen Hall, Sorel Mizzi, Ravi Raghaven, Matt Glantz and Scotty Nguyen.

Tough last level, ended with 200k. Around 58 or so left. Ran pretty brutal at showdown today, but ran really well at getting people to fold

There were many who were unfortunate to have busted out before the paying places including Daniel Negreanu, Micah Raskin, Allen Kessler, Dan Shak, Justin Bonomo, Jason Somerville and Marvin Rettenmaier.
