WPT Jacksonville Day 2 – Pham Leads Again

WSOP chips

Day 2 at the World Poker Tour Jacksonville Fall Poker Scramble, brought the field down to just 26 after 97 of the 123 that started the day were eliminated, either before or after the money bubble. Leading that pack is Cong Pham once again after the man that also led after Day 1a again found himself at the top with 892,000 chips.

It is not a huge lead though and anyone including Ryan Eriquezzo, Jarred Jaffee and Randall Price in the top ten will feel that they are in a great position going into Day 3.

Day 2 also saw the money bubble come and go as only the top 45 finishers would find themselves with some kind of profit for their two days of work. The player that had the unenviable task of finishing one place from those paying places was Rogen Chhabra, after he fell in 46th place to allow everyone else remaining to sigh a breath of relief.

Those who fell on Day 2 in the money included some of pokers more notable players such as Micah Raskin and Jake Schwartz, while others fell without even taking home anything such as Justin Zaki, Shaun Cunix and Dan Heimiller.

Day 3 will see our 25 survivors again return to the felt, though this time to play down until we have our final table of six. They will then come back for one more day to reveal who is the latest World Poker Tour champion of 2013.
