WPT “All In” For Kids Charity Events Stars Tomorrow

The word charity

Tomorrow sees the return of a highly successful charity poker event called the WPT “All In” For Kids, with it being held in New York City at the Mandarin Oriental. The event is aiming to bring in proceeds to go to The Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia.

The highly regarded professional poker player Dan Shak is the co-founder of this annual event and he will once again be joined by Phil Hellmuth who is to act as the host of the event. Both players are noted for the work they do for charity and they are hoping for another excellent turn out again this year.

Hellmuth has already been in attendance at another charity poker event this week after again being the MC in Chicago with the proceeds going to the Holocaust Museum.

The No Limit Texas Holdem tournament is set to bring in a good mix of poker players, celebrities and many others that want to help support the cause. Those that attend will be able to take part in the event, have a bit of dinner and of course a few drinks along the way to hopefully raising a significant amount for the children’s hospital and in particular its Pediatric Palliative Care program which is to be the featured beneficiary.

World Poker Tour President Adam Pliska was quick to point out the importance of events like this when he stated: “The value of helping sick children recover from life-threatening illnesses and helping them find hope for a better tomorrow cannot be overstated.”.

Two players that have already confirmed they will be attending alongside Hellmuth and Shak are Andy Frankenberger and Mike Sexton, whilst it’s also expected that PokerStars Team Pro Vanessa Selbst will be there too.

We are sure that this event will be a great success as usual and if you are looking to find out more about how you can attend or make a contribution, simply go to www.allinforkids.org.
