WPT Montreal Day 1b – Rosenbarger Tops Field

Montreal in dusk

Day 1b of the World Poker Tour Montreal is now firmly in the books as another 308 registrations were made in order to try and progress into Day 2 alongside the 92 that did just that on Day 1a. There are 128 that can be added to that number from Day 1b, meaning that so far there will be 220 players taking part on Day 2.

Of course, there is still Day 1c to go, so that number is certain to increase by another 100 or so players.

Topping a tough field on Day 1b was Derrick Rosenbarger who finished up with 211,200 chips. He leads some big names advancing into Day 2 including Yann Dion, Byron Kaverman, Micah Raskin, Kevin MacPhee, Matt Marafioti, Antonio Esfandiari, Jake Schwartz and Matt Salsberg.

There was once again many big name players that failed to progress into Day 2 as we lost players of the calibre of Marvin Rettenmaier, Noah Schwartz, Maria Ho, Matt Glantz, Kara Scott and Shaun Deeb.

Day 1c will be starting at the same time tonight, giving players one final chance to find a place on Day 2. The prize pool information will also be revealed, so you are more than welcome to come back to see our next report on this event.
