WPT Montreal Day 2 – Lacay Leads Remaining 59

Ludovic Lacay

Day 2 at the World Poker Tour Montreal is now in the books after the huge field of 357 players at the start of the day was dramatically reduced to just 59. The day also saw the bubble period get busted as all of the players tried their best to find their way into the top 99 paying positions.

Leading at the end of Day 2 was Ludovic Lacay after an impressive day at the felt saw him pick up 1,261,000 chips to have him just ahead of Marco Cannizzaro in 2nd place on 1,170,000.

There were plenty of other notable names scattered through the day’s survivors including that of Jonathan Little, Griffin Benger, Jake Schwartz, Kevin MacPhee, Victor Ramdin, Mark Radoja and Mohsin Charania.

With so many eliminations on Day 2 the place must have been a hive of activity with players standing up and leaving the casino. Among those eliminations were big name players like Matt Marafioti, Antonio Esfandiari, Gavin Smith, Mike McDonald, Mike Watson and Steve O’Dwyer all sent to the rail.
