WPT Montreal Day 3 – Siebert Leads Final 18

WSOP chips

Day 3 at the World Poker Tour Montreal was played out at lightening pace once again as it took just six hours to see the field of 59 cut down to the just the 18 players that will battle it out across the final two tables when Day 4 kicks off later today.

Leading the 18 is Sylvain Siebert after another good day at the tables saw him bag up 2,947,000 chips which has him just about edging it over Derrick Rosenbarger who sits with 2,875,000 in second place.

Also in the mix on Day 4 will be notable professionals Amir Babakhani, Ludovic Lacay, Jonathan Little and Mukul Pahuja.

There were 41 players that crashed and burned on Day 3 with the most notable of them being the likes of Kevin MacPhee, Mohsin Charania, Jake Schwartz, Mark Radoja, Victor Ramdin and Yann Dion. Each of them will be rueing the lost chance at a title but will be thankful that they at least made the money and had a fairly deep run in the event.

Day 4 gets under way at 12pm local time in Montreal and will see the field now have to try and squeeze themselves onto the final table. Check in with us to find out who has put themselves in a good position to take home this title.
