WPT Prague Day 1c – Sidhu Edging Tough Field

Prague on a map

The third and final opening day flight at the World Poker Tour Prague has now been completed as we saw another 94 players progressing from Day 1c to create a total starting field on Day 2 of 159. That number is sure to increase too as players are still able to buy in right up to the start of Day 2, ensuring that the prize pool grows even larger.

Leading the way come the end of the day was Kuljinder Sidhu though not by much. He finished with a chip count of 133,200 to put him ahead of a very stacked top ten of players that have amassed at least 100k.

Among the notables that have made it into that starting field for Day 2 include Fabrice Soulier, Marc McLaughlin, Anton Wigg, Giacomo Fundaro, Vinny Pahuja, Roberto Romanello, Shannon Shorr, Tom Alner and Kitty Kuo.

There were the usual exits on Day 1c but the most notable of them had to be that of the likes of Paul Volpe, Zimnan Ziyard, Ana Marquez, Amanda Musumeci, Ludovic Lacay and Davidi Kitai, though they still have one more chance at buying back in to the event if they so wish.

Day 2 will bring together each of the survivors of the opening day flights and will eventually reveal the total prize pool for this popular event. It will be getting underway a little later tomorrow at 2pm local time in Prague so be sure to stay tuned with us to establish which players will be creeping ever nearer to those paying spots.
