WSOP Event #10 Day 1 – Proulx Starts Well

wsop tablesOn another hectic day at the World Series of Poker, we saw another event start up with it being the $1,500 Limit Hold’em. Limit hold’em is well out of the comfort zone for many players, the inability to be able to protect your hands as much as you can in Νo-Limit, however the event did bring in a massive field of 3,042.

Once the day had finished up however just 177 of them remained to take their fight into Day 2. Sitting at the top of them is Miguel Proulx who just about edges the chip lead over both Chiduziem Obi and William James with chip stacks of 45,100, 40,800 and 40,400 respectively.

The chip counts are extremely tight all the way through the field, so none of these players will be feeling overly comfortable right now despite being right at the top of them.

Those Who Faltered On Day 1!

With so many eliminations being seen throughout Day 1 there is obviously going to be some super big names amongst them, which was exactly the case. Ronnie Bardah, Barry Greenstein, Jeremy Ausmus, Marvin Rettenmaier, Phil Hellmuth, Allen Kessler, Scott Seiver, Carlos Mortensen and fans favourite Randy “nanonoko” Lew all hit the rail on Day 1 and immediately started planning their very next events..
