WSOPE Events 4 & 6 – Ausmus Wins First Ever Bracelet

The World Series Of Poker Europe is still progressing nicely with a total of four different events seeing some action yesterday. There were a couple of new bracelet winners and a final table reached that will be concluded later today whilst another event got up and running too.

Take a peek at our brief look at the action in two of those events last night.

WSOPE Event #4 €1,650 Pot-Limit Omaha – Day 3

On a day where two bracelets were awarded at the World Series of Poker Europe we had the second awarded in this PLO event. It went to Jeremy Ausmus after he started the day in second place, behind Juha Helppi before they eventually switched places during heads-up.

When heads up play was started he was a huge underdog as his opponent had built up a massive stack throughout the day. This was to change after a big hand that doubled him up and gave him the impetuous to go on and claim the title.

Among the other players that came into the day, but finished up without a bracelet were Jason Mercier and Michael Schwartz.

Ausmus who is primarily a NLHE player, was quick to point out his surprise at claiming his first ever bracelet whilst playing PLO.

WSOPE Event #6 Mixed Max PLO – Day 1

In an eventful day at the WSOPE, with two bracelets awarded and another final table reached, there was another event that started up in this PLO Mixed Max affair. It brought in 127 players who had to navigate themselves through eight levels of play in order to reach Day 2. Only 29 players managed to do just that and it was Aku Joentausta that finished up with the chip lead after he bagged up 125,900 come the end of the day. Other names that progressed into the second day of action included Noah Schwartz, Phil Laak, Dan Shak, Barry Greenstein, Dan Laidlaw and Philipp Gruissem. Day 2 will see that field cut down in size even further and will start today at 1pm local time in France.
