WSOPE Main Event Day 4 – Mateos Leading Final 6

Adrian Mateos

We are now down to the final day and table at the World Series Of Poker Europe Main Event, after Day 4 saw the remaining 24 players reduced further again. The action played out extremely quickly as it took less than seven hours for the required 18 eliminations.

Once that final table had been set it, was Adrian Mateos that held the chip lead with a stack of 3,781,000. He leads a final table that includes two Germans in Dominik Nitsche and Benny Spindler along with Fabrice Soulier, Ragi Raghaven and Jerome Huge.

That is a tough looking final table with some very well known names and a final table that everyone will believe they can win. The German pair will especially be considered as dangerous, especially considering the form of German players of late. The first elimination of the day was the runner up of one of the previous WSOPE events in Ludovic Lacay, when his pocket kings were cracked by the chip leaders Ah-Qd. He was followed out of the door on the day by Shannon Shorr, Sergio Aido, Jeremy Ausmus and final table bubble boy Andrei Konopelko.

The players will all be coming back to the felt for the last time today in order to fight it out for the prestigious WSOPE Main Event bracelet. Anything can happen on this final table so make sure you join us for our final report tomorrow.
